“Rescuing one animal won’t change the world, but surely for that one animal, the world will change forever.”

I’ll make no bones about it: I’m passionate about rescue. Sharon Johnstone’s heart filled project Landfill Dogs is one of the major reasons I really got into photography - the other was a certain big beautiful blonde rescue shepherd who burst into my life several years ago.

I’m incredibly grateful to the wonderful people at Carla Lane Animals in Need Liverpool for letting me hang out with so many of their lovely animals over the years and hone my craft while helping them find homes. Here’s a few of my favourite memories, plus a few animals still searching for a place to call home…
